Guest Ratings & Reviews
I found the hotel to be conveniently located, and the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff made my stay enjoyable. Although the rooms were slightly dated, they were clean and served their purpose well. The service was friendly and super helpful. The central location was a definite plus, allowing me to easily access restaurants and shops. The dining experience was average, with cold food at times, but the view from the balcony during sunrise was stunning.
The hotel had a lovely and clean room, great location so close to the Octagon, but there was an impressive growth of mold. The service was excellent during check-in and checkout, but the staff seemed out of date and low. The location was fantastic, close to Octagon and within walking distance of many great places, just 2 blocks uphill from the Octagon. The dining experience was good, offering a variety of hot and cold dishes, friendly staff, and beautiful views, though it was on level 2. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few drawbacks.
The hotel was large but a little dated, clean, and comfortable with big windows and a balcony offering views across Dunedin, suitable for our needs. The service was good overall with some friendly moments. The location was convenient for walking to nearby attractions and shopping areas, although the neighborhood was quieter. The dining experience was decent with a variety of dishes. The facilities were sufficient for a comfortable stay.
The hotel offers generously sized rooms with 2 Queen beds, perfect for short or extended stays. The rooms were very nice but could use some sprucing up. The service was efficient and polite, despite some minor issues. The location is excellent for exploring Dunedin, being close to the Octagon and with free car parks. The dining experience was average, with cold hash browns being a letdown. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few areas for improvement.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, toasty warm, and super cozy, making it a real sanctuary from the cold outside. The staff's helpfulness and understanding were top-notch, although there were some delays in service during dinner. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city near all the top attractions. The dining experience was delightful, especially with divine options for grilled meat. Overall, a great value for a convenient and budget-friendly stay.
The hotel had a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious and clean, but the bathroom layout could be improved for better functionality. I had to request clean towels, and the connectivity was poor during my stay. However, I managed to get a good night's sleep despite the minor inconveniences.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were excellent and very comfortable, but they could use some additional cleaning and maintenance. The service was really nice and helpful, especially compared to the less-than-helpful receptionist. The location was brilliant, close to the center of town, with fantastic access to great cafes nearby. The dining experience was faultless and plentiful, making it easier for a solo traveler like me. Overall, a good value for money option with friendly service.
